Hotel Information:

Notes from the Conchair:

Hi there! Many thanks to everyone who helped make Arisia 2011 the
awesome convention it was! If you left anything behind when you left,
please email a description [email protected] to see if it landed in
Arisia's Lost & Found bin. Sorry, before you ask, we haven't had any
sanity points turned in lately. ;)

If you have feedback you want us to hear about Arisia, please email
[email protected] or fill out the handy online form.

And if you'd like to join the team to make next year's Arisia awesome,
please email us at [email protected]! We are happy to have
additional hands to make the work light, as the convention continues
to grow.

Thanks so much!

Crystal

Arisia 2011 Conchair

Thanks

We'd like to thank all our minions, er, volunteers, who helped make Arisia 2011 possible!

Feedback wanted!

The good, the bad and well, maybe not the ugly, but you get the point.

Thanks again, one and all!

Blood drive numbers

From John Hodges who ran the blood drive:

For anyone interested in the final numbers; the total units/pints collected for the weekend was 121 124 (Ed: I'm not sure who got the extra 3 units). Of that, 81 units went to Massachusetts General Hospital on Saturday, 40 units went to Children's Hospital Boston on Sunday. Congratulations to everyone who donated and everyone who helped out with running the blood drive! You all did great work!

If you don't pick up a paper copy of our research findings, I mean "Newsletter," they'll be posted here: http://2011.arisia.org/publications

We will be posting updates during the conventions on our Twitter. You can view our feed at http://twitter.com/arisia and if you sign up for an account you can choose to receive our tweets as text messages to your phone.

There is free wifi throughout much of the hotel, but we have a Blogger Room set aside where you can sit, relax, and partake of our internet. There are a couple computers you're free to use as well if you wish.

We will be open Friday 6pm - 9pm, Saturday 10am - 6pm, Sunday 10am - 6pm, and Monday 10am - 2pm in the Executive Boardroom at the far end of the Mezzanine Level.

Access Services at Arisia

Why is there tape on the floor?

This year we are trying something new at Arisia, making space for scooters and wheelchairs. We will be marking "Parking zones" in each panel room with blue or yellow tape that we would like everyone to help us keep clear for people who are using scooters or wheelchairs.

We will also have a sign up for seating for persons with disabilities at the Masquerade. If you have a mobility disability, or would like to take advantage of the ASL interpretation, please sign up at the help desk on Saturday by 6pm. The event will also have an FM transmitter for those who want a little "signal boost" for their FM hearing aids. Please see the Access Services page for more details.

Alley Space Still Open

Got some books you write or personal, hand-made art to sell? There are still a few spaces for Monday in the author & artist alley. If you're an author doing a signing at Arisia, you can have use of a table near autographing to have a minion sell your books for only $5, only during your autographing time. These slots are payable by cash/check only.

To sign up, ask for Lisa Hertel in the Galleria, or at Ops.
