Notes from the Conchair:

Hi there! Many thanks to everyone who helped make Arisia 2011 the
awesome convention it was! If you left anything behind when you left,
please email a description [email protected] to see if it landed in
Arisia's Lost & Found bin. Sorry, before you ask, we haven't had any
sanity points turned in lately. ;)

If you have feedback you want us to hear about Arisia, please email
[email protected] or fill out the handy online form.

And if you'd like to join the team to make next year's Arisia awesome,
please email us at [email protected]! We are happy to have
additional hands to make the work light, as the convention continues
to grow.

Thanks so much!

Crystal

Thanks

We'd like to thank all our minions, er, volunteers, who helped make Arisia 2011 possible!

Feedback wanted!

The good, the bad and well, maybe not the ugly, but you get the point.

Blood drive numbers

From John Hodges who ran the blood drive:

For anyone interested in the final numbers; the total units/pints collected for the weekend was 121 124 (Ed: I'm not sure who got the extra 3 units). Of that, 81 units went to Massachusetts General Hospital on Saturday, 40 units went to Children's Hospital Boston on Sunday. Congratulations to everyone who donated and everyone who helped out with running the blood drive! You all did great work!

The guide is compatible for iPhones, iPads, iPod Touches and Android devices.

To get the guide, choose one of the methods below:

  • Download 'The Conventionist' from the Apple App Store or the Android Marketplace
  • Visit http://conventionist.com/getit from your phone’s browser
  • There will be a barcode image for you to scan at the con if you want to do that.

The guide will be listed under the "download guides" section of the application.

I saw this at PaxEast and thought it was really nifty and helpful.

See you guys soon!

Hotel waiting list mostly cleared

At this point, all but 4 waiting list requests (out of about 250) have been dealt with. The 4 remaining requests were for Doubles and made on or after 12/28/2010.

If you are in doubt about the status of your request, if the request was for a King or "Either King or Double," or was made prior to 12/28, we've accommodated it.

The remaining 4 people will be dealt with if/as we get last-minute cancellations.

If you have any questions, please direct them to [email protected] .

Online Pre-Registration Closing!

Online Registration closes TOMORROW, Tuesday, January 11th at 7pm EST. After that time you will have to register at the door, no exceptions!

For those of you who are only planning on coming to the convention for one day (especially later in the day Saturday and Sunday) it does look like we will be close to hitting our (expanded) membership cap, so please check the website to confirm that we haven't already sold out before heading down.

If you are traveling from far away (like New Hampshire or Vermont) just for the day, and you check the website before you leave home, and it doesn't say that we have reached our membership cap, we will still let you into the convention even if that has changed by the time you arrive.

At-Con Registration hours are:

Friday: 3pm - 11pm
Saturday: 9am - 8pm
Sunday: 9am - 8pm
Monday: 9:30am - 2pm

For More information (like the at-con registration rates) please check out http://2011.arisia.org/registration
